Birth Trauma, Grief, and Loss
I specialize in supporting parents through various challenges, including birth and reproductive trauma, NICU experiences, and grief and loss. With my qualifications in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Internal Family Systems (IFS), along with my training as a Reiki Master, I offer a holistic approach that nurtures your overall well-being—mind, body, and soul.
Grief and loss are particularly close to my heart due to my own experiences, and I never want a mama to suffer in silence. Too often, I meet moms months or even years after their loss who are still struggling in isolation. I want you to know that you never have to walk this journey alone. I take a gentle and supportive approach, creating a safe space for us to connect physically and emotionally with your grief, allowing you to process it through both body and mind.
Additionally, I offer individualized support plans for moms navigating pregnancy after loss. Emotions like fear, anger, sadness, and grief can arise during this journey. Together, we’ll move forward one day at a time, ensuring you feel supported every step of the way.
I’m a proud mama of two incredible kids—a sweet boy and a spirited girl. My journey into motherhood has been both profound and challenging. It all began with dreams full of hope, but when I was five months pregnant, the world changed dramatically with the onset of COVID-19. Suddenly, I found myself navigating the joys of being a first-time mom amidst isolation and uncertainty.
The postpartum period was particularly tough; the weight of anxiety and a lack of connection took a toll on my mental health. Returning to work brought new challenges, including two heartbreaking miscarriages that shook me to my core. These experiences of loss were unfamiliar and left me feeling hopeless in my quest for another baby.
Through this journey, I learned the importance of emotional growth and self-care. After months of reflection and healing, I was blessed with my rainbow baby. This pregnancy pushed me to new depths of resilience and illuminated the necessity of nurturing myself as a whole person.
While my path hasn’t always been easy, it has also been my greatest gift. The challenges I’ve faced have clarified my deepest desires and inspired me to support other mamas on their journeys through motherhood.
